The Slope of a Line
We
will see that we can graph a line when we solve each equation of the type Ax + By = C
to the form y = m x + b .
NOTE: For the point (0, b ) if the value of b is a fraction we will need to find an integer point.
Examples 1-2. Solve each of these literal equations for y (as in Chapter 2) we get: y = m x + b

Now if we substitute x = 0 in each of these equations we find:
1. Let x = 0 then
