You can find many links on the internet if you search the keyword who invented permutation and combination. Most of the information is however designed for the readers who already have some knowledge about this subject. If you are a complete novice, you should use Algebrator. Is it easy to understand and very useful too.

Thanks for the tip . Algebrator is indeed a life-saving algebra software. I was able to get answers to queries I had about mixed numbers, radical expressions and function range. You only need to type in a problem, click on Solve and you get the all the answers you need. You can use it for any number of things, like Pre Algebra, Remedial Algebra and Remedial Algebra. I am really happy with Algebrator.

Thanks for the detailed instructions, this sounds awesome. I wished for something just like Algebrator, because I don't want a program which only solves the exercise and gives the final result, I want something that can actually show me how the exercise has to be solved. That way I can understand it and next time solve it without any help , not just copy the answers . Where can I find the program ?
